I have never done anything of this magnitude and was just wondering if there were any detailed instructions available preferably with pictures. I have a 1994 MTX w/ an exploded diff. I do have a bay to do the work in and should have all the tools i need at my disposal.

Thanks for all your time,
Dan

Click on the SHO NUT link in my sig and order the clutch replacement as well as the Quaife installation video. They will give you all the necessary information enabling you to drop your subframe, replace commonly worn parts, swap the clutch and open up the tranny case.

Use the search feature (upper right) and look into getting a Quaife. It's pricey, but worth every dollar.

If you have an exploded diff. did it pop a hole in the case? If so it's probably time to get a new tranny.

Scott what is YGM??

I do have an exploded diff, but it's not the stock one. I also have another tranny in need of second gear, which I am hoping is still intact in the current transmission.

Quaife's are awesome, but absolutely out of the question right now seeing that I have less than $30 to my name; isn't college cheap.

Thanks again,
DAn

Sorry. I thought everybody knew that one. You've got mail as in check the email address you entered into your SHO Forum profile. You will find a helpful document to guide you through the transaxle removal and replacement. I do suggest at least borrowing the SHO NUT clutch and MTX Quaife install videos.
