I'm currently in the process of tearing down the front end of the car for its 60K. Got the crank bolt off, engine roll damper, both accessory belts, both tensioners, and even skipped a step and removed the upper timing cover. I have the bolts removed on the Water Pump pulley itself (broke them loose while the belt was still on), but it will NOT come off. Any ideas? I didn't wanna proceed anymore until I got it off. Should I hammer the pulley a couple of times to see if it breaks loose? Just don't want to destroy anything unnecessarily. Thanks!

If you are going to replace the water pump, then wacking it wont harm anything. I would hit it with a bit of PB BLASTER penetrating oil first then use a rubber mallot or dead blow hammer (lead, sand, etc).l

Holy crap! :bonk: I haven't used a drop of penetrating oil on any of the bolts/nuts I've taken off this car so far. Definately a first  ! I'll definately try that. Although i'm replacing the Water Pump, I didn't wanna damage the pulley with my hammer whacks. I'll see if I can get a hold of a rubber mallet, thanks!

If you're careful, you can use a BFH. That's what I used to do mine.

*edit*
Oh yeah, and if you need a harmonic dampener puller, I have one you can borrow. :thumb:
