I was wondering the proper way to remove the transmission on my 97? Do I have to drop the entire subframe or is there a easier way? The rest of my parts will be in next week so I would like to get a good game plan going. Thanks for the info....

Take the entire motor and all out. Last time mine was out the guys left the motor in. They said they would not do that again. :nut:

We hang the motor, and drop the subframe. However, when you have a lift, it is much easier I would assume. Good luck, and be careful. Do not take any chances if you are doing this on the ground.

To take the motor out without evacuate the A/C you will need to take the A/C compressor off the engine and let it hang.
