Removing lens from housing - Fog Lights

Recently I restored my Fog lenses. The results are pretty good considering they are at least 20 years old.

My question. Is there a way to remove the lens from the housing without destroying either the lens or the housing.

I haven't done fog lights, but I did bake my fishtanks to try and get them apart. Not sure that it helped, the glue was VERY hard and brittle. Either baking them or a heat gun around the outside (maybe even both) and a little bit of prying to try and work the lens off are really your only options.

What temp did you bake them at? The glue seems like it would soften up if heated.

I just repaired my turn signal/running lamp housings and it at least for those it does not look like they used an adhesive, they fused the plastic sections together. The plastic that makes up the back side of the housing is a softer kind of plastic than the lens, and when they delaminated the same plastic that makes up the housing was left on the lens piece. With that said, I have no idea if the fog lamp housings are the same.
