OK so I am still having my acceleration problems after new plugs and cleaning out the MAF. 4 plug wells were totally dry I was shocked I was expecting them to be soaked since the engine has so many miles on it and the others had very lil oil in them. So in my other thread someone mention it could be my injectors. So after I get my other car I will have time to work on this one. So my question is, in the Chilton manual it says I have to drain my coolant but in Sho Phoenix's Front 60k How To they say nothing about this.

So before I remove it do I have to drain the coolant?

Also a question about injectors, since 6 brand new injectors will cost me 220 then the valve cover gasket another 80 Im looking at like 300$ and the car is only worth prolly 500, is there ANY way to find out which injector/s is bad? That way I dont have to buy all 6.

u can simply removethe throttle body from the intake and then remove the iac and the warming plate behind it and leave the coolant lines hooked up and lift the intake up and never open the system

If you are going to pull the lines, trace their routes. One of them goes from the sandwich to the TB and it does not need to be disconnected.

You will only need to drain the cooling system a little bit, as this is the highest point of the system. You will need to properly burp the system after, and keep a close eye on the coolant level for a week or so to ensure all air bubbles are out.

Three lines need to be detached: Two coolant and one from the engine valley (the big one)

If you take the opportunity to bypass the coolant lines to the TB you will only have to disconnect the big 'un next time.

Are you talking about a top or front 60k? The plug well seals ect would be the top. For that you don't need to drain any coolant. You may loose a little when you pull the coolant hose off the throttle body. If you are going to change the thermostat of do a front 60 as well you would want to drain the coolant since the water pump is part of the front 60k.
