removing a spoiler

is it justa few bolts to remove a spoiler from a trunk on gen 2? and what size? im going to junkyard and want to be in and out

5 on the Gen 1 IIRC. I don't remember what size but I think it's like 12mm. (?) You'll need a deep socket and a short extention. 3/8" ratchet should do it. Should be pretty similar on a Gen 2.

5 bolts, 2 might be a bit hard to get to if you don't use an angle adaptor thingy. I believe the bolts are 11mm, can't remember exactly even though I just took mine off last week...

A little tip: When removing it, take the bolts that come from the junkyard....I almost lost one down into the trunk lid, just keep the trunk slighty lower so if the nut will fall anywhere, it will fall down, not into the lid....

Was there any rust forming around the holes?
