Removed dash, and heater core. How do I get the evaporator out?

I removed the dash and pulled the heater core out, but I cant seem to open the box to get the evaporator out (it feels like it is glued shut).

Any suggestions?

Any pictures that you have would help as well. I followed the threads that show how to change the heater core but they don't have any directions on continuing to the evaporator.

If I recall (and I may not), you may have to cut the glued seam.

-yep, you will have to remove the housing from the car and separate the two halves. unless someone has a way to access and cut the housing in the car....

Thanks. I removed the blower motor and pried the two halves a part with two flat head screw drivers.

That is the best way.
I use a puddy knife and a hammer.
Use #8 screws for assembly.
