Is it possible to lengthen the time the car stays running? Currently it
Shuts off around 10mins or so is say... I havnt timed it but I'd like to make it so it won't shut off at all.

If you go into vehicle settings, you can select 5, 10, or 15 minutes. Assuming you have a factory installed remote start of course.

I don't think you will find a way, or a unit, that does not shut off after a timed period. It becomes too easy to accidently start your car in your basement level parking and gassing everyone in the house.

Owner's Manuals do exist. It explains run times in there and how you can double the run time. So you can set it to 5, 10 or 15 minutes and then double it to get 10, 20, or 30 min.

i would of never of known that without you letting me know... thanks for your input....

so i don't have to worry about it shutting off after i start it. sometimes ill forget something or whatever and i walk outside and the car is off instead of staying warm.

Not a problem. And don't take what I said the wrong way either (I can see it coming off that way).

A lot of times operational questions can be answered via the owner's manual. I have a PDF one saved on my computer so I can just do key word searches. There is a lot of "unknown" info in those thick books.

That is a valid question. We hope your're not suffering the holiday blues already and are thinking about grabbing a hose or something! J/k

As Larry the Cable Guy would say.....I don't care who you are that's funny.

A bit early into the Winter Holiday Season but funny none the less.

yea.. when i asked the question i was at work and not near the manual so figured i would ask here. that is what forums are here for.

and like i said, id like it to just not shut off, sometimes ill start it before i get into the shower or what not and by the time i go to the car its off and cooling down again... its more to just eliminate that.

Set it for 15 mins and then double it...that will be the max, and you can only remote start it twice within one hour if I recall correctly.
