Remote start climate control

Anyone know how to set your cars defrost, heated seats, rear and side mirror defrosters, to come on automatically when you do a remote star? My 2014 Taurus limited did it automatically, on my 2015 SHO it doesn't do it.

You can specify what you want to happen in the settings.

Yeah it has either auto or last setting. Tryed both. Neither one turns on defrosters or heated seats.

That's what my 2016 does. Cold weather the seats and steering wheel heat up and are nice and toasty when I get in.

I just checked mine. You can specify either driver or passenger seat and both defrosters on mine. I have a 2013, so I don't know if it is different than your car.

In my remote start settings it just has auto or last setting. I'm doing it via the steering wheel button

Same here. I would guess last setting for the seats, etc. would work if you turn them on before turning off the vehicle?

my '14 will turn on the hvac heat, heated seat and heated steering wheel automagically but not the rear defroster or mirrors

Yes my 2014 limited did the same it all turned on when I remote started. Even rear defroster. My 2015 SHO I can't figure out how to set it. What do you have your settings on your car on?

Our 2014 SHO remote start came set up perfectly from Ford I suppose as we bought ours new.
Winter, steering wheel, seats and everything else is nice and hot.
Summer, seats are ice cold and ac is frigid.

I'll have to pay more attention. In my 2015 the other day, I'm pretty sure my seat was warm, and the steering wheel too. Not sure about the windows or mirrors. There wasn't any frost that morning.

gerryh, I have heard of cases where the Sync system needed to be reset in order to get it to do this correctly, so if you cannot make it work like it should, I would suggest a Sync reset.
