Search for 'remote turbo' and you should find several of Scott's (Username=strings____) threads. And its true, the stretch of piping under the chassis will cool the intake charge much more than a traditional mount with no intercooler, lessening the need of an intercooler.I am also interested; Just wondering what price Vernon quoted you for the STS package ? It seems it does not require an intercooler due to the inherant cooling of the intake via the piping under the chassis ? IIRC Somebody on the forum has a remote setup and it seems to work very well.

I have as remote of a turbo as you should ever bother with
Really??said user has since switched to a conventional mount turbo.
just to correct some things here, my car is still remote turbo'd and runs very well at 17-18 psi. it has a new clutch and runs great, even pulled a new best time at the drag strip... And won first place for the evening! consistency, good launches and a new best time all in one night... God I love this car!
Also, my pcv system(valve cover and the one that hooks to the bottom of the TB) are both vented into a catchcan of sorts. it works well for my setup.

you are at a high altitude right?
I thought you had switched to a conventional turbo setup. My mistake.

hey there is nothing wrong wih my "catchcan" LOL! remember, when DR. Pepper sees it, they might give me a free drink for product placement! Or sue me... lmao!

I don't really know how to calc it (and am too lazy too look into it), but I know it has to be close and I gotta stir this stick since 1st place had asked what altitude. At sea level wouldn't that put you as the quickest in the 1/4?I don't really know how to calc it (and am too lazy too look into it), but I know it has to be close and I gotta stir this stick since 1st place had asked what altitude.
