remote keyless as an option?

did the 93 come with remote keyless as an option? and if so can i reprogram my fob from my old 97 tbird? and if so does anyone know how? thanks:thankyou:

Yes it was optional for '93.

Yes your '97 fob will work (assuming that your '93 has the module.)

To see if you have the module, cycle your iginition switch 8 times (but without starting your car and within 30 seconds) If you have it, your doors will automatically lock. Then with your key fob, press the unlock button. That should program your fob.

ok so i don't think that it has the keyless module. so can i get one to install and where do i put it or is there more to it?

There's more to it of the car was not optioned with keyless. I think you will find a missing body harness.

My '93 SHO has the keyless entry and I would like to change the code, anyone know how?

Yes it was optional for '93.

There were two ways to get keyless in 93 - factory option (fob has "panic"), and dealer option (fob has only lock/unlock).

The dealer option stuff may still be available, and I don't think it was expensive.
