I'm deffintly interested. I am wondering about the condition it appeared to be in. For 2200 I'm sure it wasn't great. I really need a good rust free car to work on as my project car. I really don't want to dump money into mine, things keep going wrong and it needs so much already, not to mention the rust.

Did the paint look good? What was your observation by quickly driving by?

Thanks, Joe

I'm thinking I saw that one before and it was an ATX. If I get a chance today and I'm in that area, I'll swing by and check it out for you.

Edit: It is an ATX, a 94 with a 50/50 grey interior that is not in too shabby of shape. Driver's seat bolster is torn as is the backrest but other than that the interior is in great shape. It's definitely an Arizona car, not a speck of rust underneath. Front rotors are grooved a little, paint is good with a little peeling on the front plastic bumper. LOTS of oil dripping underneath the engine compartment.

Couldn't read all of the numbers quite well enough but it looked like 89,000 miles on the odometer. But it's still an ATX. :frown: Might be a good candidate for an ATX to MTX swap though, but I wouldn't pay more than 1300.00 for it.

Thanks Tom, I would appreciate that. I deffintly want to get a rust free car to start modding, instead of messing with all the bolts and things on my car :nut: . It's not fun, as I think you know.

I deffintly want the interior and exterior to be in great shape. Mechanically I would like it to be in better shape than my car, which I think is all but impossible. I really want black interior and a blue exterior (sho-n-go) but I would deffintly settle for a red exterior. I just love black interiors much more than moacha or titanium.

If it's an ATX I'll have to pass though, It'd be easier to keep it an mtx.

I think I am going to pick up a dark blue 92 MTX out here in Philly. It is a friends car so I definately know what I am getting. It has been in his family since new. I have no Idea what I am going to do with the spy hunter at this point. I was all set to do a motor and trans swap on it and now I just might have a newer car all together. I might just go ahead with my plans because it would be nice to have a back up car.

Well, I hope everyone is having a good holiday.

Eric, sorry to hear about your wheels.... I will keep a look out for them... I have never seen the same ones on another car.

Take care all and I'll be back in town by New Years to get back to work and then to do my engine/trans swap.

SPY HUNTER is a kick butt backup car man. At least its something you can use as a winter beater....oh wait, you dont need a winter beater.

I don't know if it will make it to AZ. I might leave it in PA for when I come to visit. I hate throwing money away for rentals. I'll take pics.

Cool, that's a great idea Jesse. That will give you a great incentive to fly back there.

Tom, Have you forgotten about the stubborn Italian womane that I am seeing back here? I think that she will be out there before too long to visit the area for a while... maybe I need to throw a pic of her on here too. Ha ha.

Ok guys, I need a little education on these SHO's. I know my 1990 Garage Queen is a Gen I car but after that I am getting lost with the ATX and MTX talk. So what is the good set up in a Gen I car?

Generation 1 cars only came with a manual (MTX) transaxle. Gen 2, was from 92 through 95 with the Auto tranny available in 93-95 cars as an option. In 96-99 SHO's (gen 3), they dropped the manual tranny option.

I like just cruising around town in an automatic, but the mauals are much more fun.

You have the most worthless of the years and should sell it to me real cheap. :laugh_ti: Just kidding of course. Your car is in beautiful shape and would fetch at least 4-5 grand easily.

I am saving this car for someone special. Why it has all of 45,185 miles on it now. That trip to Tucson in October was a bit much for it and it has to rest for a few years before it has another outing. I do try to drive it a little just to keep everything working on it though and just installed a Battery Tender on it because the car sits so much. Thanks for the information about the cars. At least I will know what everyone is talking about.

I tell you what tom, that Santa maria SHO in the SHO trader sounds like a carbon copy of the garage queen (with a few more miles on it) and alot of aftermarket stuff on it. Its my car with a rod shifter and brown interior.

Speaking of clutches. The 1990 Garage Queen got to have a new one at 9000 miles free from Ford. There was some kind of upgraded clutch that they wanted to put in them because there was problems with the original ones. I wasn't having any problems but it was free so why not.
