Recall - ID 14S10

I was on My Ford, and received a notice, by VIN, that my '13 SHO was involved in a recall. The Title: Right-Hand Front Halfshaft Retention Inspection/ Repair.

I have not received any official notification, by snail mail, but I am going into my dealer on Monday to have this checked out. We are leaving on a trip in three weeks, and don't need this type problem on the Interstate.

UPDATE: Well, she went in for an oil/filter change and the recall this morning. No problems with the right front half shaft, inspected and cleared per recall.

That's great news! Do you know if they actually opened up the assembly to inspect the internals or did a visual exterior inspection?

A visual inspection to see if it is not installed right as well as grabbing the half shaft and checking it for play is the check they do.

Mine was checked and cleared today.
