rear window

I am now the proud owner of 3 mtx shos. Two 90s and an 89. I will be using body parts from the 89 for one of the 90s and engine and trans for the other. I remove and reinstall a rear window though and I don't have much of an idea how. Has anyone done this before?

The big rear window?? Its glued in. The proper way is to get the special cutting tool with a blade that has a 90 degree bend in it. I use the backyard method. Cut all the trim you can on the outside, try to get the edge of the glass exposed. Remove interior trim, may not be necessary, but its real easy to tear it to pieces. Get several lengths of .032 or .050 music wire,,any good hardware. Force the wire thru the glue so half is in, half is outside. YOU MUST WEAR EYE PROTECTION!!!!! AT SEVERAL POINTS IN THIS PROCESS THE WIRE WILL BREAK AND SMACK YOU IN THE FACE!!!!!!! Now using vice grips, and preferrably an assistant do a sawing motion to cut the glue. Take lots of time, the wire will get hot and smoke, and IT WILL break and smack you. The wire gets hung up on the sheet metal at the corners, need to keep it real close to the glass on the inside. As soon as the wire is stressed it will try to coil up, and believe me, it can snap at any time. Good luck, and be careful on this one.
