My passenger rear strut has been making a clunking sound like it's banging around against something, took the car to the dealer and they said i had a bad upper srut mount they replaced it and i thought my problem was solved but after a week the banging and clunking has seemed to come right back. i read on the v8sho site that one guy had a lower washer or something missing on his strut causing the strut to bang against the mount, could this be my problem or is it just time for new sarc struts since i do have 61,000 on my 97 ES. Any suggestion or possible solutions.
