My rear driverside cup is bad.It clunks and will squeak if you even look at it funny. On that same tire, the inside is wearing badly. Is it possible that with the cup baing bad,it allows the strut to ride up too far causing my inner tire wear?I just got 2 new front tires, but can`t replace the rears until i get this figured out.I never had an issue until it went bad.

When the top mounting bracket wears out, the strut is allowed to lean farther inward, generating more positive camber. This creates both the clunking noise and the inner tire wear that you have noticed. The front bracket was only $26 through Ford. The rear bracket should be close to that.

you mean negative Scott? :p And Jeremy, do what I did. I took the furthermost control arms from the rear off my parts car, and installed them in place of the non-adjustable arms, and have a set of adjustable cams coming in the mail soon to place on the spindle ends of the arms to get crazy adjustment. Anyways, the control arms are maybe 10/each from the junkyard, and available on any taurus. Your car doesn't have rear camber adjustment, and it's always a good thing to get an adjustment kit so you can play with it.

Jeremy-you should also look at getting a couple of Moog K8627 toe and camber adjustment kits. With these you can get closer to the desired specs for rear alignment.
