Just wondering how easy or difficult replacing the rear main seal is. I will be doing the clutch already and there is a slite leak coming from that area, so I figure it is the seal. Is it fairly simple or does it get complicated. im good if there is anyone with easy directions or notes. Please help me HAHA thanks.

It's easy to change if the clutch is out. There are six bolts that hold the flywheel in, once that's out the bearing carrier is exposed. The gasket for the carrier is apparently hard to find now, but the seal can be changed without removing the carrier (it's just easier if you do).

You can drill a small hole in the seal and use a screw to pull it out, then the new seal just taps in. If you can remove the carrier you don't need to bother with the drill-and-screw procedure because it can be tapped out from the rear.

If you're willing to change the clutch, the rear seal is an easy job.

thank you, sounds simple enough

rear main seal is a good preventive thing to change out with the clutch everytime.

make sure you resurface your flywheel.
