I have noticed that the vent on my rear differential is leaking. I was doing some searches and found tsb 12-8-12 about a leaking vent. Has anyone heard ever heard of this or seen this? Also does anyone have the full details of this tsb?

Wow old thread. So I did see a drip of fluid ...which was bright green as it was extremely low mileage. I felt around and felt what evidently is the RDU vent. Not very secure as I could move it all around. When I changed the fluid it was like new, plug magnet was clean as a whistle. Cleaned up when done so I'll keep an eye out for future drips. I've only filled with the car level and so it's never been overfilled. The front of the car was on jack stands for 6 months prior...hmm. The drip never made it to the ground, was off center towards driver side on the cover.Ok got the car back a few days ago, they had to fix a leaking seal on the PTU. They stated the fluid coming from the vent is normal with the cold temperatures. So I went even further and asked them about this TSB. The tsb states that if the fluid coming from the vent is beyond normal (which I think it was), is to replace the vent and gives a part number. So I ordered the part for 9 bucks from Tasca Ford. Just need to put it on. The part number was DB5Z-4022-A. Just in case if anyone else thinks there vent is leaking to much.
