rear bumper

how do i change a 95 Taurus SE bumper to a 95 SHO bumper? All i have is the SHO bumper. I can't seem to get the SE off to put the SHO on.

Do i need anything for the SHO bumper to make it fit.

Help please

just remove the 6 (i think) bolts where the impact absorbers bolt toe the bumper, then pull off, and bolt the SHO one on,

but the bumper for the sho has different bolt paterns than the SE would that matter?
Like it has bolt holes around the wheel and there are none on the SE bumper.

it dosent matter , the bumper is not bolted on to the wheel well, what you are seeing is where the cover is bolted to the bumper itself, removing the bolts from the rear like mentioned above and then the whole assembly will slide of the rear, then just slide the SHO bumper on and bolt it on. mine had 6 bolts in the rear others may have 6 or 8

well is there suppose to be a piece that is already attached to the fiber glass piece it's self or no??

the inner bumper support will come off with the entire cover. i'll try and get some pics tomorrow to help you out.

bumper covers

Jessica, the 2ndGen SHO urethane bumper cover is installed right on top of a SLO urethane bumper cover which is then attached to the bumper core support & that bolts to the body! I found that interesting after parting out a MB SHO!
AND as for meets just come through the tunnel & join the Tri-State SHO-SVT group! Feel free to call me for details.

so even though there is nothing attached to the fiberglass bumpper i can still do it off of the SE with no problem??
