My Drivers rear caliper keeps locking up. I thought it was a pinch in the line so i baught all new brakes and re did the lines. But it just started doing it again. I have a feeling its the load sensing proportioning valve. What do you guys think its puzzling me. Lucky for me I caught it before it smoked the pads again.

Also if it is the proportioning valve where can i get one the cheapest.

It could be your parking brake locking up if you use it alot.

The proportioning valve though I got mine from RCM Automotive \

They got almost everything you will ever need

Also this was doing it with mine but changed everything on the rear brakes and the proportioning valve because they said it was bad.

Hope this helps

You can also get rid of the proportioning valve, get a brake module from a taurus wagon and throw in there.

I have this same problem as well only its my passenger rear wheel. I've tossed 2 new in box calipers/pads/rotors on it, Earl's stainless hard lines, and I installed a working bias valve and yet I still have a sticky brake. I just gave up and started replacing the worn pads every 10-12k miles.
