I reinforced my trans mount today by putting two large bolts through it (MTX), only reason is that it was separated completley so was serving no purpose. I've heard mixed feelings about reinforcing the trans mounts. I've heard people say it could crack the aluminum trans case. well has this ever happened to anyone? its basically a stock engine, and I have re-inforced motor mounts as well so its not like the trans mount is going to be taking all the abuse. I'm just wondering if this has ever actually happened to anyone. I'd like to think I won't have a problem with it.

so since no one has said anything i'm going to go on a limb and guess that it was just concerns and has never actually happened.

Not that I know of, I reinforced mine a couple years back and have had no problems except being able to hear every gear engagement and ect.
