Has anyone ordered anything from RCM in the last few weeks? I ordered $1000 worth of stuff from them over a week ago and have had no contact from them at all since. They answered my emails within hours before ordering but since they have gotten my money...nothin! I emailed them on Friday morning after not hearing from them all week and have gotten no reply. I know people get busy and I know that these guys probably have other "real" jobs and maybe I'm just paranoid but that's a LOT of money for me! I would have thought that there would have been some kind of a confirmation email or something. Is this normal for them?

I wouldn't worry at all to be honest. If you got a lot of stuff like your saying, then he probally had to wait on something to get to him. And plus it was a Friday, people get busy on the weekends, but I really doubt he forgot ya. I've never once had a problem.

I just ordered a tool kit from them and had it within the week. I have ordered from them before also, they are just slow on the response.

same, shipping is usually very fast and parts were always received nothing to worry about especially when ordering a large amount of parts:thumb:

Not upset. Just a little nervous about spending that much money with a company I hadn't dealt with before. I have read many good reviews about them and also a few that spoke of slow response to emails but none of anyone actually getting screwed. I'm just paranoid i guess. Working for Ford will do that to ya...especially lately! Anyway, it was all for nothing. Mark emailed me today to let me know that they had just received all my parts and they should be shipped out Monday, so all's good! :thumb:

Well, it's been 2 weeks now and still no parts! Emailed them a couple days ago and again no reply. Before I ordered the parts they sent me the itemized invoice and said that they had all but one part in stock. They said it would take 2-3 days to get the part and then 2 days to ship everything to me. That would have put me at LAST Friday! Last Sunday (two days after I should have had the parts) I finally got a reply from them stating that all parts were in and the order was going to go out on Monday. Well here I am on Friday night with no parts! I know that a lot of people have had good luck with these guys but I don't think I'll be using them again. Next time I'll spend a few extra dollars and go with someone a little more reliable. I guess that's what I get for trying to save a buck!

I ordered a tool set from them also. Mark emailed me and said they missed Fedex with the weather there being bad. I can sure relate to that, our weather has been the pits since the first of the year. You will find that with most vendors, getting an attitude is the wrong thing to do. I worked in parts stores for years, and we always treated customers with respect up to a point.
Saw my boss once have a customer that was pricing parts, then went irrate about how he had worked in parts stores and we were twice as high. Carl kept his cool the whole time. Then he asked how far it was to a certain town. Carl told him. Instantly it was you don't know anything and it isn't that far. Carl is a redhead, you could see the red rising up his neck. Finally Carl asks him," so you used to work in a parts store?" Well yes I did was the reply. Carl comes back with " So did you ever have to wait on an SOB like you?" Boy did he storm out! Never laughed so hard in my life.
Did they send you a tracking number? If so go online and see what the delivery date will be. Mine left on the 15th and will be in the 20th. So Fedex isn't exactly fast.

Too much worrying... the mail is SUPPOSED to run all the time reguardless of the weather, and the first 2 days of that storm we had, I didnt even see the mail man near here. So if they werent running, I can't imagine the others would be on time.

also FWIW.. fex ex is always slow to my house... no idea why.. i get things faster thru USPS usually.

I haven't been giving them any attitude. I have worked in the service industry for years myself so I know how how much crappy customers ****** me off however I never treated customers this way if I expected them to return. I was told it would take about a week to get my parts before I placed the order. After placing the order I got no response from them for over a week even after I tried to contact them. They finally replied to my email and said the parts would be going out last Monday. I waited another week before trying to contact them again. That was 3 days ago and I still have no response. I have not recieved a tracking number so I can only assume the parts haven't even been sent yet. I am now left to wonder what I should do. They have my $1000 and I have nothing but frustration. I've tried to stay calm because everyone here keeps telling me they are a reputable business but this is getting silly. If there is a problem a little communication is all I am asking for.

Ouch, I can see where your coming from. It really sucks that these outfits don't give you a telephone number so you can actually speak with someone, or at least request yours so if there is a problem they can respond quickly.
Just curious did you use Paypal?

Yeah I did use Paypal. I'm going to try one more (civilized) email then file a dispute. Really wish I didn't have to but this is a lot of money and I need my car back.

One other thing... I have had trouble with Fed Ex before trying to send my stuff to another address. Might try calling your local FedEx place and seeing if they have something there under your name. Not common, but it does happen. And.. if that is the case, I'm sure they have to hold it for a while before they would send it back. Reguardless, I think its just something petty, and would bet $20 you see it Monday.

I hope youe right. I'll try the Fed Ex thing but I don't even know if that is how they sent it (if it has been sent at all). I just wish I could get some sort of reply from them at this point. I would really like to get my car back on the road but I also realize that nothing goes fast with this car (except the car itself ;) ).

Still seems strange they haven't sent you a tracking number or anything.

I hate dealing with Fed Ex. They are terrible about rural address, they can never find my house but they can make a delivery 10 miles up the road to were I work.
