So i think my diff pin may be about to eject itself :frown: I hear a rattling noise comming from the trans. At first i thought it might be the cam tensioner but upon further examination (crawling under car with screwdriver held to trans) I found the noise is comming from the tranny. I noticed the noise last week and i don't drive the car as its not registered yet. Any ideas what the sound could be...is it the diff pin or could it be something else inside the tranny. Oh and the car drives fine shifts well and everything.

It's probably just the TOB. Mine rattles too.

Now that I think about it, it CAN'T be the diff pin. If the car's not moving (like when you crawled under it to have a listen), the diff isn't turning and therefore can't make any noise. It's just a rattling TOB like every other MTX SHO.

This makes me feel alot better although the diff is comming out shortly and a new clutch and welded diff goin in.

TOB is Throw out bearing. Also called a release bearing by some.
If you have a MTX SHO, you will soon learn all about TOB's.
