ok, it's not the cam/crank sensor....the car was perfectly fine until this happened....
1 of my spark plugs blew out the head and stripped the threads and thrashed the coil....
so i had the head retapped and sleeved, but the garage told me they had to use another spark plug......
so they have a regular platinum plug in that cylinder because they needed the thread to be longer....i bought a new coil for that cyl.
so my question is ,...can an oddball spark plug to make the car act up and just shut off?
the weird thing is if it does shut off and you try to start the car from the on position it will start and stall , even applying gas will try to keep it running , but it will still stall....
no if you turn the key off and then start , it starts just fine and runs fine until it randomly shuts off again ...
any help..
as i am considering trading it in on a ssei bonneville...
my car has 163k on it, and they want to give me 1700 for it...
maybe it's time for a new car, i just don't want to be knickel and dimed to death....
i just put like 500 into it ..with that work and a new master....
any help would be greatly appreciated...
