Well the PO told me it needed a Crank sensor and that it started hard. It doesnt really start hard at all but the tachs not working and im pretty sure there is a missfire so I pulled the codes. I got 211 and 214.

211 (M) Ignition PIP signal was erratic or missing - Ignition Systems

214 (M) Error in Cylinder ID (CID) circuit or signal - Ignition Systems

So im guessing this confirms it? Crank sensor is the culprit?

Im going to do the valve cover gaskets, plugs and wires this weekend.

It is indeed your crankshaft position sensor. Might as well change the cam sensor too.

Well it looked like part of the crank sensor is unplugged. The part that looks like the gray connector by the diagnostic plugin. So im going to make sure the other part is plugged in and make find the connector for the gray piece and plug it in and see if that helps. I will probly just start tearing it down to for a complete 60k.

But at least while im waiting for parts to come I can start gutting the atx for any parts I want, ie:

The HB eatc
stock radio
flowmasters
Both front door regulators and motors
and a bunch of other misc stuff.

Im sure it will bring some tears to the eye, after all its a great running car. But she has to go I cant afford 2 lol and the mtx trumps. Plus I got like $3k in new parts in it so it will be a treasure trove of stuff for the mtx.

Well one of the issues is that the connector circled in yellow below is stripped and unplugged. What does this secondary connector do? I spliced a terminal end on it and plugged it in. Havent noticed a difference yet though. If its plugged or unplugged the car starts fine with no CEL and the tach is working. Im going to replace it anyway though, I found a brand new Crank sensor in the back seat in a new box.

So tomorrow its getting the front 60k

Crank seal
3 Cam seals
CPS
T Belt
H20 Pumper.
