so since i changed my wastegate reference to the compresser i have only bee getting 6psi. and i pull up to a rather large car meet and a friend of mine was talking about his conquest and he said he bumped his boost back up to 20psi. so I asked him how he did it and he added a vaccume T inline with one side open to the wastegate. so I asked if he had any extras and sure enough he had just the one to get me 10-11psi :)

its fast again. The funny thing is that I rarely give it full throttle because it is so powerfull at half or 3/4 that I don't need it to drop more than one gear ever. I was in traffic today on the highway and there was a little fenderbender on teh side of the road and after we cleared that traffic took off and i gave it some gas. traffic is heavy so i didn't look at my gauges but managed a peek at my boost gauge and i was at 5psi at 3500rpm in 4th at 45mph. I thought to my self my car stock wouldent pull that hard in second full throttle.

damn i love turbo's :)

great stuff; Now I am thinking turbo afrter reading all the good reports on the forum from our innovative engineers....but first the quiafe,,,,also, think there is a typo; 3,500 rpm, 45 mph should be in in 3rd, right ? 4th gear at that rpm would take you well past the legal speed limit.

high stall speed if i recall no? and yeah thats exactly what i use to controll boost (bleeder valve) made one my self fer a couple bucks at a hardware store been useing it for years with good results...only bad thing is that they are bad for really high boost they tend to boost creep... but i used mine upto 18psi with out a problem.... tobad the car it was on would hit fuel cut between 16-18psi so i couldnt test it any ferther..

Given the reported amount of boost and the presumed amount of throttle input, it's highly likely that his computer commanded converter unlock, which, in turn, could easily spin the engine up to 3500 RPMs in fourth gear on a '93-'95 ATX SHO.

when you apply a lot of power to the converter it will let you rev it more. for example when i'm stopped and brake torque it the stall is 2900 then once it is under full boost it is 3600-3800. of course i have absolutly no way to launch with that power sice when i release the brake the tach instantly slamms 7K and the car doesn't move. i launch at 2-3psi and it will spin both tires all the way through first and i'll punch it after the second gear shift is done and it is squarly all the way through second + leaving marks the whole time

not that i havent done it but with the TC unlocked you would be amazed how much rpm it will give you under load.

yes i was in 4th gear (rember i have a automatic)

so far the tranny is holding up great. the ony probablm i'm having is the VSS locking tabs for the wiring harness broke off so the VSS plug keps comming loose but i got one from the junkyard to i'll be good to go in about 15min.

damn i put the new VSS harness in and it still doesn't work. i guess i'll have to pull the exhaust back out and see if i plugged it in backwards.
