radio / amplifier question

I have a 1993 sho.My radio lites up and antenna goes up an down but no sound.I checked power to soundstream amp in trunk and have 12 volts. But when I check for power on the remote terminal with radio on no power is present. It is being fed by a yellow wire. Any ideas where it comes from or what I could check for. Thanks

so it just recently cut out? what brand of head unit?

It's a soundstream and the problem seems to be no power on the remote terminal. It's a yellow wire that I think goes to the back of the radio.

Check all the fuses under the dash. Yellow wire on an aftermarket radio is for the ignition. If its not that .... it could be the radio.
