It might be a TOB (throw out bearing). Either the bearing could be bad, or it could be rattling on the sleeve if it is a REV B TOB, or the earlier REV A had the TOB moving directly on the soft aluminum input shaft housing (that is why they went to a steel sleeve REV B). By chance did they put a rev A TOB in when they replaced your clutch. And if so, the bearing could be good, but it could be loose on the input shaft. If this is the case, you really should replace the TOB with a Rev B and a steel sleeve. You don't want to wear out the aluminum

All this diagnosis is a shot in the dark, since I cant hear it and really need more info, but who knows, it might be the problem

Pull up on the clutch pedal with about 10 pounds of force to reset the tension on the clutch cable. It sounds like the release bearing (TOB) is not smoothly and firmly mating with the spring fingers on the pressure plate. The SHO's release bearing is designed to be in constant contact with the pressure plate springs.

With a new pressure plate and release bearing, it may take a few hundred miles to smooth the pressure plate tips for quieter operation.

Your Webster's would spell the sound you are describing as "rattle."
