Hey I just had a quick question. Does anyone know if a 225/45/17 would fit on a borbet type-e rim? I am currently running 235/45/17 but not sure if the 225 would fit or not. I've got a flat tire and found these tires for CHEAP so wanted to know if they would work or not...

Thanks in advance for any help...

what tires are they ? they should fit the rims but are a smaller diameter than OEM so speedometer will be off, and also shortens the final drive, similar to as if a shorter gear diff was used, so gas mileage will suffer a little.

Sorry I got nuthin on your question, but I'm curious, I'm currently running 245/45-17's and have rolled my fenders and messed around with thin (5mm) spacers to get interferrence free rolling.

How does the 235/45-17 fit?

Yeah they'll fit. A little short for my tastes, but a lot of SHOs are sporting that size.

so gas mileage will suffer a little.

Is that a fact or speculation?

Can't defy laws of physics; shorter tires equates to shorter gearing so you'll get a little faster accelleration along with lower mpg. Taller tires results in the opposite.

Yeah the 235/45/17's fit fine. I've got Intrax springs and the rear wheel wells are cut/rolled a little bit but not too much. The only time they rub is if someone is sitting in the back and I go over a bump. Sometimes it'll rub over big bumps/dips without someone in the back seat, but not alot. The tires are tucked up in there though...

Thanks for the help guys. Picked up two tires this morning for $15. Can't beat that...
