Questions on Camber Adjustments and Parts

I am curious as to how easy it is to change camber to really negative for racing, but then being able to change it back to a more normal condition for the drive home.

Is this possible? What parts do I need and how easy is it to adjust camber?

As a basis to start with, my car is lowered only about an inch all around. Springs are the only change I made to under the car. If I lower it more, I imagine I will need new control arms, perhaps different (adjustable) camber plates.

Depending on what wheels and tires you use you can get away with leaving the negative camber in for the street as well. I've been running -2 degrees camber in the front and about -1.75 in the back as a track setup for a long time with no adverse wear on the street.

It is possible to do what you're describing, but it's a real pain, IMHO, so I don't bother.

So I would need adjustable camber plates for both front and rear, right? would I also need different control arms?

You need camber plates in the front if you want much adjustment range past stock, and you need aftermarket control arms in the rear to get past stock adjustment.

This won't make it easy to change settings quickly, it'll just make it easier to get more negative camber.

Hmmm...well then, on the street I have slicers and some touring tires. For the track I have another set of wheels and tires, so they would see the negative camber anyway. Once I get this setup, it can't hurt all that bad to see if the affects on the street tires are all that bad...if it's worse than I like, then I go from there.

Sorry to bring this old *** port up from the grave, but at least I searched and found what I was looking for (replacement camber plate prices.)

I'm probably going to buy these adjustable ones from prosuspension.com. Question is has anyone purchased there? It says one kit will cover one side. Can you put it either place you want to? (front or rear) I need rears pretty badly, so I may as well get these, since car will be lowered soon anyways.

Just an aside: When you change the front wheel camber, the wheel toe is affected, and you'll need to reset that as well.

Ah...very true about the toe...thanks! I still haven't purchased the camber plates, but after this weekend's run at Motorsport Ranch in Fort Worth, I have just got to spend time on this old car!

The adjustable rear control arms can be purchased from a number of SHO vendors that support this forum. Here is an excellent example;
Midwest SHO RCAs

To do the fronts, you can use the Prosuspension.com pieces. You need to buy two, one for each side.
