where can i get a turbo or supercharger

Wow. :oogle: Not for nothing, but I HIGHLY suggest you either rephrase that, or ask a different question. You'll find out soon enough why.

To (try and) answer your question. . . if you looking for a cheap used turbo/supercharger that you'd want to rebuild or slap it on just like that, ebay's your friend. Or you can do a search for all the blown/turbo guys, and ask how did went about getting theirs. Good luck!

I have 2 K-16-2s that would make a pretty nasty bi-turbo setup...

Nice set up there, Doug! :thumb:

After seeing that picture a few times, I just noticed there's not a BOV visable. Do your kits come with one or without?

I use a Vortech Racing Bypass valve that recirculates bypassed boost pressure back into the supercharger intake. The valve is located on the bottom of the discharge pipe and exhausts back into the inlet pipe. In the picture, you can see where it connects to the inlet pipe.

Because I have the MAF in the fender for proper tuning, you can't vent boost to the atmosphere. It must be recirculated.

Here's a couple more shots...

Basic BYOT (Bring Your Own Tuning) kit starts at $4500. That's blower, brackets, belt drive, shaft drive bypass and plumbing.

Upgrade kit includes injectors, MAF, chip, tuning and fuel system for abotu $2000. Installation in our shop is $1000.

Ever tried it? My BOV vents to the atmoshpere and has never been a problem. That said, on my next project, I hope to either have a BTM or a bypass valve. If I still have to use a BOV post MAF though, I am not concerned. Do you use the bypass valve as a boost controller as well?

Tim, you can't do it with a supercharger like you can a turbo. When you close the throttle, you reduce the load to the turbo. When you do the same to the SC, it's still spinning according to engine RPM. This would cause you to run EXTREMELY rich. In fact, so rich that the computer completely stops learning and applying KAM's. I've had this happen to me several times when I had my MAF pre-blower.
