The a/c compressor on my car--10P15F--Is there an oil reservoir to **** the compressor or an inline oiler? Just wondering how the thing works. Thanks inadvance for all help.

I guess my question should have been:
How does the compressor get lubed? By the freon or having its own oil source? Sorry for the confusion on my part.

The oil is carried around the loop by the refrigerant, keeping the compressor lubricated.

So, it is not like the York compressors on early '80's Fords? I was looking at compressors at www.polarbear.com and another site, and the Yorks have an oil reservoir to **** the compressor. I know off-roaders convert these to air compressors. burn_out

Nope when they service the system they have to add a can of oil that flows through the system with the Freon. If your system is R-12 it's a hole diffrent story.
