To start the new SHO you must press the brake and push the start button.

Sometimes when go to start my car, my brake pedal will start to fade or feel soft and the engine will not start until I pump the brake a couple of times until the brake pedal feels firm and then the push button start will work. This doesn't happen all the time but maybe 25% of the time when I try to start the engine.

Has anyone else noticed this problem?

I have not experienced that and I haven't even ever felt a "soft" pedal. You should have you dealer check into that for you.

All the start cycle is looking for is that the brake switch (plunger on the pedal) is released which happens even if you depress the brake pedal a inch or two. There should be no need to press or pump several times.

When you say it does not start...be more specific. Does it crank but won't fire, or does NOTHING happen when you press the hot spot?

I would definitely have the soft pedal looked at by the dealer. One would think the sensor would be activated by a short distance of movement by the brake pedal.

Until I have a firm brake pedal, nothing happens. Although this only happens 25% of the time or less, it mostly happens after the car has not been driven for several days.
