I'm pretty sure my cam tensioner in the head is weak. I managed to get one off of ebay. And Ive been looking at to me it looks like it's in fine condition the bore and piston spring and guides all seem to have barely an wear.
My question is how do I go about making sure its working correctly? When I fill it completely with oil and try to compress it oil doesn't come out anywhere is that normal? I was told that oil should relief where the hole in the guide is to **** the chain and guide.

EDIT figured it out. as the old one fell apart in my hand. it has a check valve in it.
