I was looking on midwestsho.com and looking at aftermarket cams, they had the stock lift and duration for cams off an ATX and an MTX, well the MTX has a more agressive cam profile (more lift and duration) so what I want to know is, can i swap the slightly more agressive MTX cams into my ATX motor?? I mean it seems as tho this would be good for at least 10 horses! If you guys know anyone who has done it and would like to comment, then that would be really cool!! Any info is much appreciated!

10hp w/ MTX cams in an ATX is a very LIBERAL estimate, more like 3-4 if you're lucky, and with the ATX eating up 25% of engine power, that's not something you're likely to noticeably feel.

IF you're in there anyway, sure, but I would tear down the engine to do that particular swap.

Anything you can do to improve the ATX's power would be welcome, but there are some other things you can do that are more time-friendly. I would consider aftermarket cams in there, if you're of the mind to do it.
