I had my A/C sytems tested for leaks and it turns out I have a big leak in one of the hoses. I am assuming the hose I need comes as a complete assembly but I am not sure. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the part number for the hose in the photo and where I could get one.

If this image does not display, the link to the photo is HERE.

Thank you!

I am not certain to that diagram being completely correct, but you need a compressor manifold hose assembly. It connects to the compressor, and includes both hoses.

To replace just the one hose, you would have to have the manifold rebuilt, and that would probably cost as much or more than a quality replacement. Check ACKits.com

I have looked at the parts list on the weblink you provided but I am not sure which hose this is. Can anyone tell me if any of the following is the correct one?

Motorcraft A/C Hose - Discharge Line YF-2021
Motorcraft A/C Hose - Liquid YF-1575
Motorcraft A/C Hose - Manifold YF-1572
Motorcraft Oriface Tube Replacement Kit YF-2007
Murray A/C Hose - Accumulator Assembly 55620
Murray A/C Hose - Discharge 55920
Murray A/C Hose - Liquid 55722

Thanks!

The got that picture from Alldata but that is the only diagram of the A/C system that I could find on the Alldata website.

I looked on Factory Air's website and they list the following hose but I am not sure if this is the correct hose since it does not specify for the SHO.

MANIFOLD HOSE ASSEMBLY FOR 1991-1988 FORD TAURUS

The only thing I could find on ACKits.com besides the suction line was this hose the call an "Expansion Device 3.0L W/SHO"...

The second one looks nothing like what I need but the first one looks close.

Any Ideas?

Thanks!

Send an email to Torrie at FordPartsNetwork. He can email you a diagram of your AC system, complete with part numbers.

jmkinmsp,

Is the hose leaking, such as from a hole in the hose? Is it leaking from where the hose is crimped to a metal pipe? Or, is the leaking at a connection to another part of the A/C system, say from a replacable "O" ring?

The hose is cracked or has a hole in it about where the arrow is pointing in the picture below.

I had the system dye tested and there was a puddle of dye on the ground below this hose within 10 minutes of the system being charged so he put the car up and showed me the leak. I ended up finding the hose through Ford and I plan to fix it this weekend. I also bought a new suction hose as well and I am not looking forward to installing them. The hose is called a Manifold and Tube Assembly and the part number is 19D734. It ended up costing me $133.00 for the Manifold Assembly through Ford and I got the suction hose assembly from Autozone for $79.00. If I can make the repairs, the shop that did the leak test will vaccum the system and recharge it at no cost since I already paid him $60.00 to do the leak test.

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for doing these repairs that will make life a little easier? This car has already claimed the majority of my knuckle skin and I'd like to keep whats left so any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...Jeff

The springlock couplers will be really fun. PB Blaster, twisting, and pulling (along with gloves and cussing) will eventually get them apart.

Make sure you have all new o-rings.

If you don't already have them, you can purchase a set of springlock coupling removal tools at Autozone for about $10. They probably loan them as well.
