Hello senior members,
Just saying hello to everyone as a noob here. I will learn many things through out this forum.
So, I have 2013 taurus SHO with 130k miles on the original engine.
The only bad experience with it was replacing water pump in the engine.
I did not want to remove the engine (was being a bit lazy). So, I picked the shortcut for it, which was only removing the timing chain cover by removing the passenger side engine mount and etc..
Yeah, I did not have enough room to ensure the proper alignment of the cover and the engine and ended up leaking "some" oil from the cover.
Probably the seal was not properly seated or did not applied enough.
And, God. Parts in this car started to have some problem. Last week, I lost my AC. But, it's getting cold in NY. So, I said to myself "ahhh it can wait". Then, last night, I heard this broken muffler or exhaust leaking noise..
So, yeah. I don't really know what's popping with the noise and everything yet. But, planning to remove the engine and do proper maintenance this time.
Thank you for reading and see you around.
ENJOY THE SHO.
Jay
