I've been floating on the idea of converting my Mufflers to quad tips. I did a photoshop of a picture of a limited to get an idea of how it would look.

It's not a perfect photoshop.. The cutouts of the bumper will be better looking and smoothers.

Looks good, though I might go with single wide ovals instead :) Also, could you photoshop the right taillight pieces to not look so maladjusted. Ford :smash:

I have the same concept in my mind. If you beat me to it, let me know. I would say either square off both housings or round off both. Either or but not both. If you can square off and out chrome dual tips in the opening then that would look pretty good.

If you could find a 2011-12 bumper lower cap fairing the NON SHO models had dual tipped single exhaust. Use that as a template and mirror the opening pattern on the passengers side.

Yeah I didn't try to round off one side and square off the other, it was just a quick photoshop. I would do round on both sides. Or do as you said and follow the pattern from the base 2010-2012 with the single muffler dual tip. That was my original plan actually. I've cut out bumpers for mufflers before so not too worried. My main concern is finding the right tips! Quality that won't rust and has the right curve to contour with the bumper. And of course tip size. Might go with 3.5 tips. I'd do 3 inch but the rear end of these cars are so massive that I think even 3.5 won't look that big.

I had similar exhaust tips on my Gen III. Had a great pic of the back of the car somewhere but I can't find it now.

I was just thinking about doing this too. Let me know what I can do to help with the footwork. I suck at photoshop but I might be able to send you some good info for different tips/mufflers

that's exactly what my challenger has on it. originally was the normal rectangular dual dual but when my friend upgrade the exhaust to magnaflow did it this way. kept the same since i bought her from him. never mind bad driveway. neighbors water drains right under my driveway & not fixing till we get ready to move whenever.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out the right set of tips for this. I have dynomax mufflers on my car with 4 inch tips... Debating on 3.5 inch tips for the quads. Such a large rear end on the car that large tips don't look all that big.

Here is what I'm thinking about trying. They're 25 degree cut so they'll contour to the bumper. These are 3 inch tips though

Sexy cars! ;) Gotta love the styling on the challenger. I'm a mustang guy deep down, but I can't help but smile when a challenger cruises by!

thx for compliment, was always a mopar man but liked sho over a charger as wife said 4dr only. but now i show the sho at car shows in the area & friend was getting a new challenger & his '09 only had 23k on it he's as ocd on his cars as i am , so i snapped it up to keep miles down on sho. the red on the caliphers are the mgp calipher covers, just had them done with black lettering instead of normal gray. on the pipes i've got 3" on my borla catbacks & here's a pic. i personally think they are big enough, but like a friend said each of us paints our own masterpiece. the tips on the challenger are the magnaflow ones in you link.

Are those really only 3 inch tips? Look the same size as my dynomaxes. The stock ones are 3 inch I think. Maybe 2.5.

the catbacks are 2 1/2" pipes but borla made the tips flare out to 3". from what i know only 1 other sho around with borla as well as where a special make. $1200 as i remember plus installation, not cheap but gives my sho nice deep sound more a v8 sound than corsa.
love the ebc's as well. at the time was my DD so did just slotted w/ red pads.

Are there any mufflers on the market that wouldn't be too significant of a change in volume with dual out pipes? I have an exhaust shop in Lancaster Co., PA who can put those puppies in and throw on some new tips for only a hundred bucks. Gotta love the Amish.

well then maybe there are 3 of us. there was a guy who had his on you tube & when i heard the sound compared to corsa, just liked it a lot. was kind of difficult to get. ordered mine thru summit as they had borla part#, which was nowhere on borla's size. talked with borla after i had an order number from summit & they told me 6 weeks to make & they hit it right on. what i love is they way they stick out a little from the back of the car a little further than stock pipes & the borla name pressed into them.
