I have found a 2016 Taurus SHO PP for 15,000 local to me on FB Marketplace (74k miles). I was able to knock him down to 13,500. Its a 2 owner car. It had one minor accident in Michigan (Animal strike) and was fixed and given a rebuilt title. The current owner then bought it and brought it to virginia. It has a few mods done to it including Livernois colder plugs, MAP sensor, and thermostat, AirRaid cold air intake, Corsa exhaust, JTT oil catch can, and aLivernois tune with programmable computer. The second owner immediatly replaced the oil, PTU, diff, trans, and brake fluids. He has only put 12k miles on it since buying it from the past owner (Has multiple other cars so it was not used much). It also has DWS06's and the z73 2013-2018 taurus break kit put on within the last 5k miles. Im going to go drive down and see the car this Sunday. If the test drive and initial inspection go well I plan to get a PPI at a local independent dealer. Anything I should look out for when I see it and test drive it this Sunday? Is this a good deal?

Sounds like a good deal, considering the condition of the rest of the car. If the fluids were swapped that is even better. If this is a long term vehicle for you and you are not worried about resale I would consider it. However, do yourself a favor and if you were to purchase it, remove the LMS tune from it ASAP. There are many threads on here about how trash that company and it's tunes are.

Typical - water pump leak and seepage - check the oil for milky color - search these forums there is much about it. It sounds on paper as a good deal since much has been spent along the way.

Curious if in Michigan, every car that's been in an accident get's a "rebuilt" title? Or does the car have to be totaled by insurance first.
