I can't seem to do it. I put the thing in the proper spots, and it doesn't want to go through the test procedure. The ECU has been changed out, but the same thing happens.

What's next? Take it to a dealer and have them plug in directly? Will a TwEECer do it?

You shouldnt need to do that. I think something else is wrong. I would bet they would use the same port as the paper clip so I doubt that they could tell you much different.

Have you check the grounding strap and all of the usual things that can go wrong?

Who pulled the codes you or the shop?

Yes, grounding strap is fine. There is a Star computer that the dealerships have that plug in directly to the dataport.

I did the diagram wrong :banghd:

But it wouldn't work either way

I would hear the fuel pump, but then it would stop after that. It's probably just a connection or something. Ugh.

Back in Michigan ... again.
Is your car doing anything to warrant you checking the codes? I had a 95 ATX that acted similar to what you're describing. At the time the car wouldn't idle at all when cold, and would idle very low once warm. Sometimes it would display codes, and sometimes it wouldn't. In the end I had a bad 'puter.

I say, if you're absolutely certain you're hooking it up correctly then you may have a similar problem.
