Ok guys, I just got me engine back into my 93 MTX last weekend and have been having a few issues. Namely idle pulsing, stalling coming to a stop and once the engine studdered under mild-heavy acceleration and threw a CEL for about 2 minutes. Here are the codes i pulled:

Off: 114, 551 then stored codes: 172, 214, 551
Running: 114, 225

also, would not do cylinder test, gave me 538 code.(goose input not received)

I'm going to try another IAC reset for the 114 codes and the 172 i can assume ill need a new O2 sensor.

All help is appreciated!

114 = air charge temp (inlet air) temp out of range
551 = ias (iac) circuit failure
172 = lean on right (rear) bank
214 = cid circuit failure
225 = knock sensor not sensed during dynamic test
538 = operator error during test

my experience is that these engines will never run properly if the intake air temp sensor is disconnected or faulty. may just be a connection issue, but since it is on the same circuit as the iac, more likely you have a bad ground for that section of the wiring harness. I'd start by looking there. of course, if the iac circuit isn't working, it will not idle properly.

lean on rh bank is likely a vacuum leak, but could be a bad o2 sensor.

cid circuit failure could be a bad cam sensor, but could be a wiring issue again - I'd look very carefully to make sure all the grounds are connected properly.

knock sensor not sensed means either the knock sensor is deaf (bad) or that there is a wiring problem.

the goose input not received means that you did not rev the engine up high enough at the point where you are supposed to do that during the dynamic test - it needs to get above 3000 rpm, iirc.

I would start by looking for ground issues.

good luck!

I doubt it's the air charge sensor . You can run the car with it removed with no problems .

I too think ground or start eliminating codes . I'd put on a new cam sensor and check grounds/ hoses .
