Has anyone considered doing a tapping the PTU and putting a valve on it for draining and filling? Was looking at doing it but wasn't sure if there has been success with that style or if its even been done before.

I’ve just seen people talking about adding a drain plug at the bottom

obviously that is a part for our oil pan drain but i dont see why it wouldnt work if you're gonna drill and tap it, why not go with this option? if the oil is to thick for this one i think they make larger sizes as well, but for only 25 bucks it sounds like its worth trying.

you mean like this?

That could work, I was thinking something more like a 3/8 thread 90 degree valve with a barb fitting. I know my dad has stuff like that at the 3m plant he works in (that's where i got the idea).

Figured if the oil gets too thick you can always hook up a suction pump to that barb fitting and suck everything out, then fill it and turn off the valve. Less mess!

They make hose end adapters for them as well if that's what you're looking for check them out. https://www.ezoilchangevalve.com/

Perfect thread. This morning I was just thinking about what types of pumps to use to remove the PTU oil. Yayeeeee
