measure it, eyeball it, mark it, drill it, tap it, plug it.
Make a small mistake? drill it a little more, tap it, plug it.

Make a plan. Execute the plan.

Or just suck it out the vent. Whatevs. You can do it.

Yeah you don’t have to get crazy with drilling holes to change it. Pop out the plug, get a pump to suck out the fluid, and fill it back up. The hardest part is getting the plug back in. It’s a tight squeeze.

Yeah, I'll stop my welching. The tools and gear oil are on their way.

I'm going to suction it out and see what the oil looks like. If it's not bad, replacing with new oil is all I'll do. If it's worse, I'll drill.

I also sent a couple more emails to local shops to see if I can still get someone else to do it.
