I cant seem to pinpoint a power steering fluid leak that i have. I lose about an ounce of fluid per week. I find it dripping off the front crossbeam of the subframe. It is not dripping from any one particular spot, just from all over the front of the subframe.

I would initialy suspect my PS cooler that is bolted right there, it looks pretty beat up.

Does anyone have a diagram (helms or other) that shows the entirety of the PS system? What do you all think could be the cause to my leak? If agreed that it is the cooler, where can i find a replacement? and for how much$$?

Thanks

ok theres 2 lines that run to or from the little cooler. the one that sends fluid in is the small hose that leaves the resivoir it runs behind the motor down in front of the steering rack up over the transmission and to the cooler. then the other line that leaves the cooler runs almost right by the hose that comes from the resivoir that line runs back over the transimission and to the steering rack. those are the only 2 lines running too or from that cooler. there is other lines running off the pump and so on.

also if you to find out if its one of those hoes get another person to help jack up the car and have one lock the wheel and let slack then lock it over and over while the other looks for the leak. and if its one of the hoses running too or from the cooler you can just take the line that runs from the resivoir cut it shorter and run it directly to the rack its much easier to do that and you don't really need a PS cooler almost no cars have them.

It has to be either the cooler or a connection at the cooler.

An inline splice will get you through the winter.
