Ok, I crawled under my car and it seems the actuation arm on the proportioning valve is a worthless POS and has no puprose. I am gonna remove it and I want to adjust the pin assemblies so they are in the fully out position. Can anyone tell me which way they adjust?

There are no adjustments on the valves themselves. If you want them to be fully on, someone (Shonut?) had machined anodized plugs that would give full flow.

I'd suggest you just remove the arm that is connected to the suspension and that should do enough.

Well I plan to get those (I was reading about the mod, just need to know where they are available) but I need to make sure the pins are in the "fully out" position. There has to be some way to adjust which position they are in, even if they only move 1mm. I have read that they are either letting very little flow to the caliper (fully in) or most the flow (fully out). Anyway, I don't see how the rod (which moves with the suspension) changes the position of these pin assemblies. At least it doesn't appear to change their position when I move it.

The pins shouldn't move much.. If I recall, the pins should move about 1/8" to 1/4". You could take a pair of pliars and (carefully!) twist the pins while gently pulling out from the valve body to make sure they are all the way out.

Regarding the rod, you would have to jack up your car, put it on jack stands and then jack up the wheel itself. When you have the car in the air and the suspension is fully extended, full flow should be going to the calipers. If you jack up the left-rear wheel, it will put the valve at rest again and you'll see the mechanism work.

Until I slid the jack under the tire, I couldn't figure out how the mechanism worked, it doesn't look like it SHOULD work because it's so crappy.

Don't just disconnect the rod. You may have no flow to the rear brakes if you do that.

I have long since junked that setup for a set of plugs, but it's not for everyone. If you want to rig up the proportioning valve just determine which way the pins should be held to ensure full fluid flow, and adjust the rod so that they are always engaged regardless of fluid flow.
