Prop Rod with Fiberglass Hood

Hi,

I just got my Cowl Fiberglass Hood installed. I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to mount and where to place the prop rod for holding the hood up. If you have pictures on what you have that would be great.

When I had my CF hood I used a 3/8" diameter aluminum rod that was bent with a short L on one end and a rubber slip on protector on the other. There was an opening in the hood I could slip the L shaped end into that would retain it when the wind was blowing. The other end went between the battery and the fender wall.



I could store it laying across the top of the fans. That is why it has a piece of rubber hose on it so I would not burn my hand when picking it up after the engine got hot.
