Ok I got the front mail seal replaced today cleaned everything up and I will be getting my timing belt in the mail tomorrow.

Ok here is what is ticking me off

I took the waterpump apart and I need to get all the gasket residue/left over gasket off

I tried scrubbing it

I sprayed the crap out of it with gumout brake parts cleaner

I am even soaking the back part of the pump, gasket side down in gasoline right now

I am afraid if I just scrape at the crap I will nick the surfaces. So what do I do here?

Thanks once again

Scrape it with a razor blade and make sure that you get all of the gasoline and brake cleaner off of it.
