Ok guys. Since I have been back, I've been tinkering with the SHO. I figured I would give it a Little TLC before I left for japan. First thing I did, Replace the radiator, Took a little under 4 hours (...Im slow...) Worked out great. Next on the menu? A SHOshop Equal Length Catted Y-Pipe I recently aquired. That little bastard of a Y-Pipe was a nightmare to get on, Long story short, Things were just "Out of place" lets say, as if someone has done exhaust work before on this car and just totally f'ed it up. But, after a few hours, SUCCESS! The new y-pipe was installed without a Hitch...Except for my bastard child of a starter motor...but thats a whole different story. ANYWAYS.

When I test drove the car, I was VERY Happy with the results. The pull through second gear was amazing compared to the stock Y-Pipe. However, about 15 minutes in to the test drive, after a brisk shift in to second gear...the car sounded wierd. It sounded as if one header was uncorked, and one wasent. However Getting under the car today I found that nothing was loose. Oh, And did I mention that the car Is down on power significantly after that 1-2 shift? Within that shift it feels like I've lost about 50 + horsepower.

Cliffnotes:

After a Hard 1-2 shift Car sounds Weird.
Car is down on power
Driver Is confused (Tho its rare when I am not)

Now, The car does have a Broken front mount, So I could have knocked somthing out of place, But I have no idea. The engine doesent knock or anything like that. No piping is bent from exssesive engine movemtn...etc etc.

Im stumped. :nut:

Sorry for such a long post, Thanks in Advance.

You should go under the car with it running-find out where the noise is coming from.

I did, Its just to damned noisey under there to pinpoint exactly where. The only leak I could really tell of, was the Y-pipe to the catback....but thats always kind of been around since I broke my motor mount.
