Ok so I just went through an entire black interior swap, and now after I put back everything none of my windows or moonroof work. Does anyone know where the relay/fuse is for this?

I am praying that is not under the dash because I ran into a huge problem with the fusebox that is located on the left hand drivers side below the dash, it is stuck up vertically and will not come down because it hits the metal brace that attaches the steering column cover to the frame.

also I ran into a problem trying to put the steering wheel back on, I took it off with a steering wheel puller, however when I put it back on it has a ton of play and makes a clicking sound whenever I turn it.

when I went to pep-boys to pick up the steering wheel puller there was another tool that was right next to it that also said something about steering wheels in the title of it, is there another tool I need to put the steering wheel back on?

After having my SHO down for 3 weeks I finally go to drive it and all this happens. It just sucks. I know people have had their SHO's not running for a lot longer but this is the first time for me.

Thanks in advance

- Justin

Circuit breaker for the windows is in the fuse box, IIRC. Sorry mate.

Have you checked the megafuses under the hood?

dammit.

no I haven't checked those fuses. I got mad after all this happened and stormed off inside to go tell my problems to the internet. I should probably go check the fuses I can at least get to. Thanks

ok all underhood fuses are in good shape, however when I popped up the hood I had an unused clip staring right at me, don't know what it is to.

Unused connector is unused.

Don't worry about it.

lol alright. I think I can just barely get to the circuit breaker but I don't know which one it is. and also pulling it won't help me if I don't have a replacement correct?

I've never used another tool to put on the steering wheel, just put the wheel on as far as you can, then tighten the bolt. Torquing it would be a good idea.

I did put the wheel on as far as it could possibly go. and then when I was tightening it it still had about a half inch to go and I just could not tighten it anymore for the life of me.

ok so I just swapped circuit breakers #14 with the one I had on my SLO, still didn't work so I knew it wasn't the circuit breaker. then I swapped back my old main power window switch from the grey interior and then my front window creeped down a little. however after that it still didn't work, took the back of the switch back off, cleaned the connection and put the window all the way back up, so I figure I'll go get some dielectric grease tomorrow and clean all connections that I possibly can because its starting to rain here.

1/2" where? Between the back of the wheel and the column trim?

the bolt to tighten the wheel down. it still has about a half inch to go to actually make contact with the wheel itself. it simply just would not turn anymore. I don't understand what I am doing wrong with that. because when I was taking the wheel off it was all the way down making contact with the wheel

It is what the airbag and steering wheel wiring plugs into

oh ok. yeah I remember that grey clip with the ribbon wiring attached to it popping out and not being able to get that back in correctly. now when I turn the wheel it makes a clicking sound. did I break it somehow?

im gonna have to pop it off again tomorrow and take a closer look at it.

You may have broken it, but any 1992 Taurus/sable clock spring will work for sure. Does the horn work?

I did a black interior swap recently too, minus the dash. When I was all done I blew out the 15 AMP fuse for the windows, interior lights, and door locks. I forget what number fuse it was but its in the fuse box under the dash. It only happened because I had the doors open for hours at a time while I swapped interiors.
