I have a spare intake that i want to blast and get coated. I was wondering if there is any special prep work before blasting? any part of the intake that i should not sandblast? and as far as the PC...how much does it usually cost? cheaper to buy my own set up?

Yes you can media blast the runners using mild abrasive such as glass bead and make sure you clean it up really well leaving no glass bead embedded in runners.

As for powdercoating, There's DIY kit from http://www.eastwood.com/. Its pretty straightforward stuff to use, takes some time and practice making it work.
